MARCUS ‘BUCHECHA’ ALMEIDA
Marcus Vinicius Oliveira de Almeida is the most dominant competitor of his generation. The 26 year-old Checkmat representative has won double gold medals competing in his weight class and the absolute divisions an unprecedented four times at the IBJJF World Championships. Three of these double golds were earned consecutively. To put it into perspective, the only other person to ever have won three double golds at the Mundials is none other than Roger Gracie, who is generally regarded as one of the best, if not the best, competitors of all time.
