TOM DEBLASS & GARRY TONON ON LOYALTY IN BJJ

Tom DeBlass is not only a prolific competitor – in bother MMA and Jiu Jitsu – but an academy owner and professor. One of Tom’s most notable students, Garry Tonon, also spends much of his time training under the guidance of John Danaher at Renzo Gracie HQ in NYC. DeBlass “completely supports” Tonon’s training regime, and says “to expect respect, you have to show respect.”

Often times instructors are expecting loyalty from their students, but they need to ask themself first, are they giving their students everything they need? Loyalty is a two way street, and we cannot expect it if we do not give it. @bjj.fanatics
