LOS ANGELES, CA – It’s competition time once again this weekend, as War Tribe sponsored athlete Carlos Diego Ferreira hits the mats for the west edition of the 2013 USA Abu Dhabi World Pro Trials.
Held at the Walter Reed Pyramid on the California State University Long Beach Campus in Long Beach, California, the 2013 USA Abu Dhabi World Pro Trials will serve as a qualifying event for competitors wishing to compete in the prestigious 2014 Abu Dhabi World Pro Championship sponsored by the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation and presided over by His Highness Sheikh Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
As for Carlos Diego Ferreira, he’ll be competing in the 167-180 lbs. adult black belt division and will likely have to win 2-3 times to reach gold in a field that includes Magid Hage, Tanner Rice, and Romulo Melo.
In preparation for the event Carlos Diego Ferreira has been training with Prof. Andre Galvao, Michael Liera Jr., and team at their San Diego Atos Jiu-Jitsu Academy. War Tribe founder Randy Olssen and BJJ blue belt has accompanied him on the trip as well and is train
ing alongside all the beasts at Atos as well.
Never one to stop working, Carlos has been training at Kings MMA with Master Rafael Cordeiro and Fabricio Werdum as well in preparation for his next MMA fight, October 11th in Dallas, TX at Legacy Fighting Championship 24 versus Team Takedown wrestler Chris Feist.
