Undefeated in his first 8 fights in professional mixed martial arts, War Tribe Gear sponsored athlete Carlos Diego Ferreira faces the biggest challenge in his MMA career this Friday night when he takes on vale tudo legend and two-division champion Jorge Macaco Patino in the main event of Legacy Fighting Championship 25.
Set for the Arena Theater in Houston, TX, the event should be another great with plenty of great fights on the card (as seen below). None though, are bigger than the main event clash between the two BJJ black belts.
For those of you that don’t know, Jorge Macaco Patino is one of the most respected veterans in the MMA game and has been around for a long time, ever since his legendary battles with Pele down in Brazil in the no-holds-barred vale tudo days. He’s currently the Legacy 155 lbs. and 170 lbs. champion and has won seven straight fights in a row, including those two title wins and win over another one of our own sponsored fighters, Derrick Krantz. In short, Macaco is not an opponent to be taken lightly and one Carlos Diego Ferreira has been training very hard for. And if CDF wins, it could mean a fast track into the UFC.
In short, it’s a very meaningful fight and should be an exciting one also. We’re looking forward to it and are very proud of Ferreira for taking on this tough challenge. He was born to fight and proves it on a regular basis so we’re certainly with his every step of the way.
Best of luck this Friday night at Legacy FC 25, Carlos Diego Ferreira!
