EDDIE BRAVO: THE RISE OF COMBAT JIU JITSU
Eddie Bravo needs no introduction in the grappling community. The man became a legend as a brown belt when he defeated Royler Gracie at ADCC. Eddie used the notoriety gained from his win over Royler to create an almost cult-like following for his 10^th Planet Jiu Jitsu system. Since that improbable triangle submission win, Eddie has built a name for himself by straying from the beaten path and forging his own trail in grappling.

His 10^th Planet system has garnered praise for its innovative contributions to no-gi jiu jitsu, and is also a topic of controversy amongst BJJ purists like Carlinhos Gracie and his followers. Love him or hate him, all can rest assured that Eddie is here to stay and he only plans on building his 10^th Planet brand, and making its related projects bigger.

Jiu Jitsu Style caught up with 10^th Planet’s elder statesman to discuss his latest project. He plans to use his widely popular Eddie Bravo Invitational (EBI) events as a platform to launch Combat Jiu Jitsu (CJJ). Eddie sat with us to breakdown CJJ and explain why he believes his newest brainchild might become the next evolution in competitive grappling.
