July 23, 2013 – It was another multi-city weekend spreading the War Tribe Gear lifestyle brand this past weekend with our crew of devoted brand ambassadors traveling from Houston to Dallas-Fort Worth to cover both Legacy Fighting Championship 21 on Friday night and American Grappling Federation’s 2013 Southern Regionals on Saturday.
As far as MMA action from Friday goes, Legacy Fighting Championship 21 delivered nicely (our recap here). We were happy to sponsor the event and see our logo branded inside the cage as plenty of fighters stood toe-to-toe to deliver some exciting knockouts, submissions, and flat-out fights for the LIVE crowd on hand and those watching on national television via AXS TV. The War Tribe Gear lifestyle is all about that so definitely a nod of approval and thanks to all the fighters who laid it out on the line at Legacy FC 21.
The action never slowed down come Saturday as plenty of the state’s top grapplers showed up to compete at the AGF Southern Regionals that took place at Burleson High School, just south of Fort Worth.
It was good to see plenty of competitors representing the War Tribe Gear lifestyle by donning our rash guards, shorts, and Gi’s in competition across all levels.
Most notably, we sponsored a three-man team comprising of Carlos Diego Ferreira, Brian Olson, and Derrick Krantz to compete in the grand finale of the AGF Team Challenge.
Our crew definitely faced some worthy competition, including top MMA fighters / wrestlers in Shane Lees and UFC’s Colton Smith along with BJJ black belts like Tony Tipton and Carlos Diego Ferreira.
Definitely no shortage of challenges there but in the end the boys took home the $3,000 first place prize. Good for them and a big thanks from the crew here at War Tribe Gear for representing our brand with pride and skill.
We’ll surely be back at it with both MMA and BJJ tournament events soon, so we’ll see you guys next time.
