The Matshark TX State Championship Pro happened this past Saturday, July 13th at the Woodlawn Gym in San Antonio,TX and War Tribe Gear was there to take in all the action and see which grapplers and BJJ players in Texas were looking to make some noise and win some of the prize money that promoter Rafael Perez put out there at this BJJ tournament.
One of the competitors who showed up to partake in the event’s superfight was War Tribe Sponsored Grappler / Fighter Carlos Diego Ferreira. Making the drive to San Antonio from South Texas, Carlos brought a large contingent from Team Ferreira – who wasn’t only there to watch the super fight divisions, but also compete themselves. Based on their medal count after the event, they all did awesome! As for Carlos Diego, he added some more prize money and medals to his collection after going undefeated for the entire event and beating Julian Vega (Elite MMA) in the finals to win his entire bracket! Carlos Diego had some great matches with other exceptional grapplers during the day as well, including Jose Portillo (Paragon), Raul Jimenez (Gacho), and Kurt Pantle (Paul Thomas). Winning all those fights pretty handedly, Ferreira proves once again why he exemplifies the War Tribe Gear brand!
