Now considered one of the jiu jitsu ‘old guard’, Fernando Augusto – better known as ‘Terere’ – is perhaps one of the most charismatic and loved practitioners to grace the sport.

Terere’s black belt success during the early 2000s led many to consider him the best on the planet, with multiple world titles, countless tournament wins and accolades coming his way. It is Augusto’s high octane pace and passionate performances that have always stolen spectators’ hearts, making the Alexandre Paiva black belt a true fan favourite across all generations.
