IBJJF ANNOUNCE $50K CASH PRIZE AT PRO LEAGUE GP

Following on from the likes of Polaris Pro, EBI, Metamoris and the Abu Dhabi WPJJC, the IBJJF have finally upped the ante and released news of their 8-man Pro League GP. The event will take place on July 9th in Las Vegas at the UFC Fan Expo, with $40k going to the winner and $10k to the runner-up.

Competitors confirmed for the Pro League GP so far include: Marcus Buchecha, Bernardo Faria, Xande Ribeiro, Joao Rocha, Romulo Barral and Andre Galvao.

This is a big step in the cultivation of ‘Professional Jiu Jitsu’, with fans and athletes alike putting constant pressure on the IBJJF to help support the people achieving success in our sport.

The IBJJF also recently awarded both Mackenzie Dern and Paulo Miyao $15k each for finishing the 2015/2016 season as their number 1 ranked athletes.
