So, it’s the 1st of December, which means that the lovely (or feared) Christmas Season is here! Getting that perfect gift for your bjj-boo can be difficult and stressful, so I have put together a nice list for you to pick from! If your friend, significant other or family member trains jiu jitsu, I can promise you that any item from this list  will be received with smiles, underhook hugs and a bellowing "oossss" from the bottom of their heart.

1. Trip to a place that has amazing level in jiu jitsu (anywhere in Brazil, the jiu jitsu mecca California, or many big cities around USA and Europe)

2. New gi from their favourite brand.

3. Nogi gear: rash guard, shorts, sport leggings.

4. Wrestling shoes for the real tough ones who include wrestling in their training regime.

5. Belt with their name embroidered on it.

6. Some jiu jitsu necessities like tape, small scissors to cut the tape, hair bands for long hair, lotion for those tatami burns, liniment for sore muscles... Easy to get, cheap and 100% needed.

7. Coconut water.

8. Gift card to the acai store.

9. BJJ inspired tees. I would go to jiujiteiro.com for the more everyday and classy look, but many gi brands sell t-shirts as well.

10. BJJ inspired accessories (bandana, wrist band, patch). It is easy to get anything now BJJ-themed with the magic of internet.

11. Private lessons from some awesome jits player.

12. Pay for them to go to a seminar with one of their bjj idols.

13. Ear protectors (but only if they are wussies and don't want the beautiful cauliflower ears).

14. Gift cards for massage.

15. Pay their competition fee for the next tournament that they are going to.

16. Buy them a prescription of Jiu Jitsu Style Magazine for a year. Or two :)

17. For any social media addicts, a great gift is a session with a professional photographer. Downside is that you will have to look at those cool new high-quality pics of him with his gi over his shoulder forever.

18. A prescription to some online technique school, like keenanonline.com byKeenan Cornelius or mendesbros.com by Guilherme and Rafael Mendes.

19. Beautiful new flip-flops, preferably Havaianas.

20. Supplements for any athlete: protein, vitamin etc supplements, pre-workouts… You name it.

And just like that, all your holiday anxiety is gone and  your gift-problems vanished!
