“D-Rock” finishes third UFC vet in a row to earn his latest title belt

Marshall, TX native Derrick Krantz (16-8) is a fighter we’ve supported for a long time. Known to his fans as D-Rock, this 27 year old out of Team 515 is literally one of the hardest working athletes we know. Even since his career started he’s always worked to improve, all the while never letting his ego get to him during the good times and never quitting when challenges came his way.

Steady incremental gains and a work ethic that would put most other fighters in the world to shame.

Recently Derrick Krantz earned the prestigious Legacy FC lightweight title following an accumulation of hard work and sacrifice throughout the years. In beating Brock Larson at Legacy FC 43, Derrick not only won the title but also beat his third UFC veteran in a row. And not only did he beat them, D-Rock finished all three of them before the final bell.

With a 41-10 record and his own accomplishments in the UFC, ONE FC, and WEC cage along with his pedigree of being a BJJ black belt and three-time All-American wrestler, Brock Larson could be considered Derrick’s strongest opponent so far and yet Derrick Krantz showed how much he’s improved in beating him emphatically. With that win he showed he’s ready for the next step up – the UFC.

We all know the UFC likes finishers, and Derrick only has two decisions on his twenty-five fight record. He comes back with his shield or on it. Considering that and his latest accomplishments, Derrick has proven he belongs in there with the best. Somebody get this man belongs in the octagon.
