About Derrick

Moved to Texas to live with his Father at 16 and has been there since. His martial arts journey began in Kung Fu as a teenager to keep him preoccupied and out of trouble. It was there he got connected with the infamous Team 515 and got started in MMA. A few months after he turned 18, he had his first MMA match. He took the fight on 3 days notice and it was a life changing experience. The competition… the crowd… it overwhelmed him and he was hooked.
